A Pastor’s Prayer for the Christmas Season

As Christmas draws near, we want to take a moment to pause and pray with you. 

We know this season is both meaningful and full—so much to plan, prepare, and lead. In the middle of it all, our prayer is that your heart would stay centered on what matters most: Jesus.

A Prayer for Pastors and Leaders

God, thank You for Christmas and for the reason we get to celebrate this season. We pray that You would bring a renewed sense of wonder for Jesus’ birth and a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit as pastors and churches all over the world prepare to tell the good news of this season.

For those who are weary, bring renewed rest.

For those carrying heavy burdens, draw them into community.

For those seeking You in the valley, bring a deeper awareness of Your presence.

And for those who lead, pastor, and shepherd their communities, bring hope, focus, and clarity in this season.

Thank You, Jesus, that You know exactly what every pastor and leader is walking through right now. Help them remember Your promise—that You will never leave them nor forsake them—and find comfort knowing You are with them today.
