You Don’t Have to Prove Yourself

You’ve probably felt that you have to prove yourself in more than one area of your life.

As a pastor.

As a spouse.

As a parent.

As a fill-in-the-blank.

If we’re not careful to remind ourselves of God’s truth we can get caught on the treadmill of proving our worth to others.

And that’s dangerous.

Losing sight of who God created us to be limits our ministry and the impact we can make for God’s glory. Simply put, it’s a ploy the devil uses to distract us from the prize: living a life that results in “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10
